About Liz
I fell in love with anatomy and physiology at a young age. Learning all the structures and their functions that make up the human body and allow it to thrive is an incredible thing. Seeing how all the systems interplay with one another to do something as simple as taking a breath demonstrates the complexity of the human form. The body is a vast web of structures and functions that, when in balance, works beautifully together. When this balance is thrown off, dysfunction ensues.
This is why I decided to study complementary medicine. To assist in restoring the ebb and flow of balance so that one can navigate and thrive in a life with less pain and more ease.
I studied Human Kinetics and Kinesiology at UVIC and the College of the Rockies before earning my Massage Therapy Diploma from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy in 2007.
In 2014 I earned my Diploma in Acupuncture Cum Laude at Pacific Rim College.
I hold registrations in both Acupuncture and Massage Therapy in British Columbia.
I live and work on beautiful Vancouver Island and I enjoy all the beauty that this wild west coast brings. I practice yoga and love to travel. I spent part of my Acupuncture practicum in Nepal providing treatments in a rural village and fell in love with the country. I now volunteer on the Board of Directors for the charity Another Brick in Nepal Canada which raises money to rebuild schools that were damaged in the 2015 Earthquakes. On the weekends you can find me on the ocean, in the forest, on a mountain, or camping with my husband and dog.
